[QUOTE="Chutebox"][QUOTE="Consternated"] Why? So you can poke holes in the fact I'm not level 50 and haven't experienced enough of the game? I've experienced enough to know it's not a great game, and that I don't want to play it anymore - that's enough for me.

Also, the game is ugly as hell. Makes TES:O look like Witcher 2.

Consternated
Ya, you're full of shit

Whatever you say. I've been playing MMOs for over a decade, and FF14 isn't worth the effort. I was a pretty huge Final Fantasy fan before the PS2 came along, and was hoping ARR would revitalize some of my love for an otherwise stagnant series... Nope. It's a mediocre MMO that's only getting above average review scores because FF14 was a total disaster.

I'd believe you if half the shit you said just wasn't true

You mean you'd believe me if I agreed with your low standards?

I like how Consternated was actually, entirely wrong, about some things, yet struts around as if he's winning

I already pointed out where you were factually incorrect. I couldn't care less if you like the game

I was wrong about the cutscenes? That's nice :) Hell, it makes me more likely to go back and give it another bash before the free month expires :D I even bought an authenticator for the bloody game, haha.

Cutscenes & voice acting, fair enough. A few years back, I would've considered it barbaric, but I had to mute the game very early on (BURN THE HEATHEN!). Honestly, the highlight for me was hearing the prelude... Was kind of nostalgic :) Game is still ugly & sluggish, though.

The other was voice acting, I know. I didn't hear any during my class quests - I'm not bothered about a few cutscenes in the middle of nowhere... What else was I wrong about? PS, where the hell is the client download page? The Square-Enix sites are so poorly designed. Every other page requires a login.

[QUOTE="MBirdy88"][QUOTE="Joedgabe"]

You're just mad it wasn't your usual grind fest MMO.... They actually designed GW2 to be playable and people that enjoy the game could make it to late game with multiple classes without having to spend half their life's into grinding a single dungeon for weeks to get a single game end item. Like the person said.. there's more than not MMO's with your preference.. there's nothing special of what you ask... it's just the most common thing you can find w/o even trying..... so you having on one of the few games that don't do it just makes you seem quite silly.. especially trying so hard... i mean.. you think everyone else is dumb not to know how genetic mmo's are in general and buy into your 600 hours of grind fest to reach the samething you would in every single mmo out there with just longer time ?

Joedgabe

Mad? you can do what you describe in any modern mmo. guild wars 2 was nothing but grind to max level, all they did was alter how the grind initiates, e.g instead of quest givers they fed you fetch quests and kill quests by simply walking into the area... its the same thing. event grinding. ect ect. Guild Wars 2's leveling was NOT at its core any different. Only difference was nothing was there for when you hit the end. worse a.i than trinity games, less challenging, only way they could design bosses was one shot mechanics. alot of the event's were just 100s whacking an enemy that couldn't even hit for half your health ect. So no... don't tell me GW2 wasn't a "grind fest" the difference between GW2 and other MMO's is other MMO's "grind fest" as you put it was there for a challenge. how is farming your legendary challenging? or buying exotic best in slot gear from the AH for 2 damn gold "challenging." Casual game, through and through. stop making "grind excuses" I maxed out on FF at a very similar speed to GW2.... so enough with the absolute BS.

The hours have to spent on GW2 to finish it and get to late game prepared made a huge difference in the "grind fest" because grind fest invovled everything on grinding.. GW2 leveling was a lot easier than other mmo's.... they're not really challenging.... they just push the idea of having to upgrade your items to maximun to fill in extra gameplay hours.... i myself welcome the Idea of mmo's allowing the players to have an accessible end game content in a way that you don't have to dedicate your life to reach or feel like you wasted your life for not being able to reach it. It did have grind.. but the over all game wasn't a Grind fest like almost every single one of MMORPG's where oyu have to spend at least a week playing to get the gear to play the next part... and probably like a month of grinding after reaching max level to get the gear to do the end game content.. ther'es no need for that.. just give it to people and if they want they move on the next MMO and do it all over again for the rest of their lives or until they're 30.. or just have the normal minded people be satisfied with their mmo urge and not feel like playing another mmo for a year or 2 after they had that end game fill.

You keep spouting their crap marketing gimmicks but its all for nothing. "accessible endgame content" in guild wars 2 case is a lie. and NO it wasn't faster to level in GW2 than modern WoW, Rift or FFXIV. it takes around the same time. What end-game was there that did anything for PvErs in Guild Wars 2? oh you could spank all the dungeons before hitting 80 except Arah ... which nobody wanted to do because it was ugly, repetitive and crap. the final boss was a turd. there was no next part in guild wars 2. there was just "grind events/money for your legendary, which did nothing for your character" or "Run fractals.... which were a hell of alot more grindy than other games..." so please, again, don't talk crap.

It's a brilliant game. I don't even like MMOs (not even the so called savior of MMOs, Guild Wars 2), but I fell in love with A Realm Reborn.charizard1605

I would play it if it was free to play.  How much is the sub?  that just annoys me.

Which job is the closest to a support role in this game? The bard or someone else?

Loved FF11

Ballroompirate

It was a great game and arguably one of the more important games in the genre.

Seeing Birdy's posts in this game really makes me regret getting MoP shortly before this game launched, oh well, I can get the game once the issues are subscription runs out.

And while the game may not be very innovative, at the very least it works, even better is that the Endgame in this game is apperantly good and challenging and the combat is not a mess. (taking out roles entirely in favor of hurr durr dps with minor alterations, like weaksauce buffs and cc) It is good that they took inspiration from what has proven to work for years than something that clearly didnt work,

Has the most difficult ingame boss been defeated yet? Would be a bit of a joke, if it had.
